Do you think people are obsesed with the news? Ever since I got on twitter- all people tweet about is THE NEWS! I only need an update once/day. I don't feel a compelling need to be working at an AP wire desk. And most news isn't newsworthy anyway. What's your thoughts.

considering how often people twitter/blog/post about completely irrelevant things, i think it's nice that people will do the same about things that actually affect my life.
